The Scoring Mechanism

Every publication on Shaaare is subject to a complex scoring formula that takes into account various metrics. These include Shaaare Power (SP), Comments (C), Shares (S), Subscribers (Sub), Time spent on the publication (T_pub), and Time spent in commentary (T_com). Each variable is assigned a weight to signify its contribution to the overall score.

For example:

• Shaaare Power (W_SP) also carries a weight of 0.35
• Comments (W_C) are weighted at 0.1
• Shares (W_S) have a weight of 0.2
• Subscribers (W_Sub) get a weight of 0.1
• Time spent on Publication (W_T_pub) is assigned a weight of 0.1
• Time spent in Commentary (W_T_com) has a weight of 0.15
• Staking (S) contributes a weight between 0.1 and 0.3 depending on the amount of XKO staked, with a 10% bonus for every staked month:
• 100 000 XKO grants 0.1pt
• 1 000 000 XKO grants 0.2pts
• 10 000 000 XKO grants 0.3pts

The formula uses these weights and metrics to generate a score, with the sum of all weights equaling 1. The higher the score, the more likely the post is to move to the next "Basket."

The Basket System

The Basket system is unique to Shaaare and operates like a tiered audience reach system. Each Basket represents a different level of visibility:

• Basket1: Close friends of the person
• Basket2: Extended network
• Basket3, 4, ...: Subsequent tiers with broader reach

When a publication scores above 0.8, it ascends to the next Basket, increasing its visibility and engagement potential.

Staking's Role

A unique facet of this scoring model is the role of staking. By staking XKO tokens, users can positively affect their publication score from 0.1pt to 0.3pts. This might not seem like much, but in a competitive environment where every point counts, this small boost could be the difference between a post gaining traction or falling by the wayside.
