In Phase A of our Decentralization Plan, we start laying the foundational stones for community-led governance. During this stage, certain key aspects of Shaaare's operation and development will begin to be dictated by DAO (Decentralized Autonomous Organization) mechanisms.
Key Components of Phase A
- Feature Decision-Making: Introducing new features or making changes to existing ones will be subject to the DAO voting process. Community members who hold governance tokens will be able to propose, discuss, and vote on these developments.
- Fee Structures: Decisions related to fee structures, whether it's for transactions, listings, or any other monetizable activity within the platform, will be submitted for community approval. This ensures that the financial aspects of the platform align with the community's views and needs.
- Platform Development: Whether it’s optimizing existing algorithms, integrating new blockchain technologies, or improving user experience, all significant shifts in platform development will require DAO approval. This collective oversight aims to decentralize the innovation process and pool insights from a broader community.
- Partnerships: Collaborations, partnerships, or any sort of alliances that Shaaare may enter into will require a DAO voting process. This ensures that any relationship the platform enters will be beneficial not just to the core team, but to the community at large.
How Voting Works
Voting power will be proportional to the amount of governance tokens held by each participant. Detailed mechanics on how to submit proposals, quorum requirements, and other procedural aspects will be outlined in our Governance Manual, made available to the community.
Importance of Phase A
Phase A serves as an essential transition phase. It marks the beginning of Shaaare's journey from being a platform shaped by its core development team to one that is co-created by its community. The introduction of DAO mechanisms doesn't just democratize decision-making; it empowers the community to directly contribute to the platform's evolution.
By implementing Phase A, we take a meaningful step towards achieving the ultimate aim of complete decentralization, while still retaining enough centralized control to act swiftly when necessary.
